Case Numbering in Prima.Law

Prima.Law has a fixed system for case numbering. While some individuals have pointed out that they would prefer a way to customize the case numbering system, the practical reality is that this is no longer necessary with the case management board and the almost infinite number of ways that you can filter cases and gather relevant reports. The case numbering system in Prima.Law is as follows.

The first number is the incremental case number in your prima.law account.

The case numbering system is explained as follows:

Example Case Number: 130125

13 is the 13th case created in your firm.  This number will always go up. It never resets. This gives you an overall idea of how much total volume you have handled in your firm.
The 01 is for January.
The 25 is for 2025

So we know this is the 13th case created in your Prima account and it was made in January of 2025.
